To Know Christ Christ and to Make Him Known

In our today's culture, there are many influences that distract or lure people in the wrong direction.  Trying to find an "absolute truth" is almost impossible considering all the liberal worldviews that surround us on every front. Even in many religious institutions, there are mixed messages that are contrary to the Scriptures. The Bridgeton First Church of the Nazarene is committed to proclaiming the gospel message of Jesus Christ so that people can clearly see what His salvation means and to be a follower of the Lord.

To have an successful walk in Christ, it is important to understand the biblical applications that guide and directs the Christian life. Here at the Bridgeton First Church of the Nazarene, we stress the importance of the Scriptures and how they apply to our lives. We take the initiative to proclaim the whole truth of the Scriptures without cutting corners or "watering down" its message. Each area of ministry, from our children's department up to our senior adult classes, are fully equipped and prepared to teach and discuss the biblical applications to life's journey.

We also embrace the reality that every level of should be addressed for its particular needs. At the Bridgeton First Church of the Nazarene, there are individual areas of teaching that starts at the infant level and works through our grade level Children's and Youth departments, to our multi-area adult classes. We have Sunday school for men, women, college and career, young adult, and senior adult individuals and couples.

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus Christ, who was fully God and fully man at the same time. That he became like us to bring about our salvation.

We believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and that, by trusting in His death, we can be restored to a right relationship with God.

We believe that when we turn from sin and trust in Christ, the old record of sin is done away with, we are born anew, and that we become part of the family of God.

We believe that after being born anew, we need the fullness of God's Spirit in our hearts. When we make a complete commitment to Him, He cleanses our spirit, fills us with his love, and gives us the power to live victoriously.

We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again.

We believe that everyone shall face the judgment of God with its rewards and punishments.

We believe in divine healing. We also believe that medical assistance should be sought when deemed necessary.
